despite my ever-growing fears of their taking over the world

I have converted my Grand Central number to Google Voice, it's configured, and I'll probably be switching over from Skype (primarily because Google Voice is so goddamn slick, like the rest of their software). Details, for those who care, when they arise.

Oh it won't be too long before they open it goatse-wide and let everyone in. It's a revenue stream, and Google needs to diversify their revenue. This is a perfect way for them to do it.

They have brilliant programmers, so their algorithms will make for good VOIP quality, and their network assets are already in place ins o many places, the network is almost built alreay. They just needed to buy GS and add VOIP to their stack of protocols.

Really smart move on their part.
