luck and un-luck

we shall see, but for the moment i am seeing a brief clearing of the clouds and feel slightly less about-to-be-destroyed.

Ink

I was randomly looking through the PS3/Netflix Streaming library and had been fascinated by this movie, Ink. So after about a week or two of ignoring it, figuring it couldn't be that good with the rest of their lineup for SF/F being trash, I watched it.

Turns out it was a great movie. I'm not going to say it was magnificent, but it was really, really good. Left me feeling a little raw in wondering why there are so many movies about bad fathers (or flawed fathers). Sure, there are movies about flawed mothers, but they're all so forgiving on the mother figure and it's always Meryl Streep and who doesn't love her anyways? Does it really reflect society so much or is the flaw so strong that it compels so many more people to write about it?
